Shepseskaf

Shepseskaf

Shepseskaf, the last king of the Fourth dynasty, had his tomb built at South Saqqara (Mastabat el-Fara'un). Although the tomb's ancient name 'The Purified Pyramid' was frequently written with the sign of a pyramid, in reality the tomb is sarcophagus-shaped. There is one parallel: the Giza tomb of Khentkaus, mother of two Fifth dynasty kings.
